Client's Story
My
name is Stephanie R. and my story begins with
my being injured on the job in November of
1997. I injured my left arm and it had a huge
impact on me, both personally and
professionally.
I
attempted physical therapy but it didn’t do
any good. Ultimately I required surgery in
February, 1998. After I was finally released
from medical treatment, my attorney went
through several offers and counter-offers,
keeping me well informed during this process.
Finally, I agreed to a substantial offer and
we closed the case.
My
initial discussion with my employer helped me
determine that they were not looking out for
my best interest. Due to the severity of the
injury, I knew that I needed an attorney. I
had heard of Brown and Crouppen, but never
thought I would need them.
My
initial consultation with a Brown and Crouppen
attorney was in their St. Charles office,
which was very convenient. I understand that
they have other offices throughout the St.
Louis area, including their main office
downtown.
The
attorney and staff who handled the case were
very helpful and informative. I was so
impressed with their knowledge and abilities
that I returned to them a second time for
another on the job injury, which we recently
settled in 2002. We are still negotiating the
second injury fund (SIF) portion of this
latest claim and I hope to get a third
settlement check soon.
I
made the right decision in retaining the
services of Brown and Crouppen. I could see
that there were going to be numerous road
blocks placed in my path, which only a
knowledgeable workers’ compensation attorney
could overcome. Obviously, I hope I never get
injured again. However, if I do, I’ll be
sure to call Brown and Crouppen.
